Technicians develop the practical ability to establish pressure, temperature, superheat and subcooling conditions when commissioning or servicing vapour compression equipment. For your RTO, UEERA0036 creates a targeted learning opportunity for refrigeration and air conditioning learners progressing into field-based service work.

  • Industry relevance: These skills are applied when commissioning, checking and fault-finding commercial and domestic refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
  • Training pathway: The unit supports learners entering refrigeration, air conditioning, service, maintenance and commissioning roles.
  • Practical learner outcomes: Learners can take operating measurements, compare system conditions and identify adjustments needed for reliable performance.
  • Scope growth opportunity: It is a logical addition for RTOs delivering related refrigeration, air conditioning or electrotechnology training.

UEERA0036 training resources provide editable files, learner materials, assessment tools and assessor guidance for structured delivery. Explore the available RTO materials to support efficient program development.

Designed for Real Industry Delivery

The Standards for RTOs require training and assessment to reflect genuine workplace conditions, current industry expectations and the way tasks are performed in practice. For this unit, that means giving learners opportunities to work with realistic vapour compression system scenarios, follow safe operating procedures and interpret conditions they would encounter during refrigeration and air conditioning work.

Our UEERA0036 training materials help trainers connect learning with activities such as identifying system components, checking operating pressures and temperatures, recognising basic operating conditions, completing calculations, recording readings and reporting issues. Learning can be contextualised around the equipment, documentation and workplace procedures used by the learner cohort.

Refrigeration Service Workshops

In refrigeration service workshops, learners establish operating conditions while inspecting, testing and servicing vapour compression systems. They may compare pressure and temperature readings, confirm system operation and identify conditions that require further investigation.

UEERA0036 RTO training materials help trainers build practical activities around service documentation, test equipment, safe work practices and reporting procedures used in workshop environments. Assessment can reflect the sequence of checks a technician would complete before making adjustments or recommending further work.

Commercial Refrigeration Sites

Supermarkets, restaurants, cold rooms and other commercial refrigeration sites rely on correctly operating systems to protect products and maintain required temperatures. Learners need to understand how operating conditions relate to system performance, customer requirements and business records.

The UEERA0036 training resources support contextualisation through scenarios involving temperature checks, controller readings, equipment inspections, fault observations and communication with supervisors or site representatives. Trainers can align activities with the plant, procedures and documentation used at the workplace.

Air Conditioning and Building Services Workplaces

In air conditioning and building services environments, learners may establish basic operating conditions during commissioning, routine inspections or service calls. They need to work safely around connected equipment, interpret measurements and communicate findings clearly.

UEERA0036 learning materials help trainers relate learning and assessment to site access requirements, system operating checks, measurement records and maintenance reports. Activities can be adapted to reflect the equipment types, workplace terminology and level of responsibility expected of learners.

Any Delivery Mode

The editable RTO resources support classroom delivery, workplace delivery, blended learning and online delivery. Trainers can contextualise learning activities, examples and assessments for their learner cohort, available equipment, workplace environment and delivery conditions.

Just sharing my experience with these resources. The resources that we have purchased from RTO Learning Materials were expectional during audit and mainly when these were implemented with trainers and students. At start it was a bit hard for our trainer's to fully absorb these resources as they are very detailed as compared to the old ones that we have been using but once trainers were able to complete their learning it was a piece of cake to collect and collate evidence from students. Furthermore, during our pre-validation meetings we have also observed that the learning component is very well covered thereby providing enough information for our trainers to keep students engaged at all times. I would also like to highlight a staff member from sales team 'Mr. Amar Shah' who has been exceptional in his service and goes beyond his call of duty. Thank you Amar and RTO Learning Materials for all your support. Regards, Amit Thakur
