Built Around Real Workplace Contexts

The Standards for RTOs require training and assessment to reflect genuine workplace conditions, current industry expectations and the way tasks are performed in practice. For this unit, that means giving learners opportunities to apply safe camera rigging practices, follow production instructions and work with the equipment, people and constraints found in authentic workplace settings.

Our CUACAM312 Rig camera infrastructure training materials help trainers connect learning with genuine workplace activities, including planning a camera infrastructure setup, checking mounting points and support equipment, routing power and signal cables, completing inspections, communicating with production teams and documenting faults or changes.

Film and Television Production Sets

On drama, documentary and commercial shoots, camera infrastructure must be assembled safely and configured to support the required shots, movement and operating conditions. Learners need to understand how camera bodies, lenses, supports, accessories, cables and protective equipment work together on a busy set.

CUACAM312 RTO training materials help trainers contextualise activities around call sheets, production requirements, location hazards, pre-start checks and communication with camera, lighting, grip and production personnel.

Live Events and Outside Broadcasts

Concerts, sporting events and public performances often require multiple camera positions, long cable runs, elevated platforms and rapid changes to the production setup. Learners must consider access, trip hazards, weather, crowd movement, signal paths and the need to maintain reliable infrastructure during an event.

Using CUACAM312 training resources, trainers can frame learning and assessment around venue inspections, camera position plans, cable management, equipment security, interdepartmental communication and fault reporting under time-sensitive conditions.

Studio and Camera Equipment Facilities

In studios, rehearsal spaces and equipment preparation areas, camera infrastructure is regularly assembled, adjusted, dismantled and stored for different productions. Learners can practise selecting suitable supports, checking connections, protecting equipment and identifying issues before equipment is released for use.

CUACAM312 learning materials support contextualisation through equipment checklists, setup documentation, maintenance records and practical scenarios that reflect studio workflows, shared work areas and the responsibilities of camera and technical crews.

Any Delivery Mode

The editable RTO resources support classroom delivery, workplace delivery, blended learning and online delivery. Trainers can contextualise learning activities, examples and assessments for their learner cohort, available equipment, production environment and local industry practices.

Just sharing my experience with these resources. The resources that we have purchased from RTO Learning Materials were expectional during audit and mainly when these were implemented with trainers and students. At start it was a bit hard for our trainer's to fully absorb these resources as they are very detailed as compared to the old ones that we have been using but once trainers were able to complete their learning it was a piece of cake to collect and collate evidence from students. Furthermore, during our pre-validation meetings we have also observed that the learning component is very well covered thereby providing enough information for our trainers to keep students engaged at all times. I would also like to highlight a staff member from sales team 'Mr. Amar Shah' who has been exceptional in his service and goes beyond his call of duty. Thank you Amar and RTO Learning Materials for all your support. Regards, Amit Thakur
