Built Around Real Workplace Contexts

The Standards for RTOs require training and assessment to reflect genuine workplace conditions, current industry expectations and the way work is performed in practice. For this area of primary health care, delivery needs to support culturally safe practice, respectful communication and authentic workplace learning with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.

HLTAWOR002 training materials help trainers connect learning with activities such as building respectful relationships, communicating with clients and community members, supporting holistic health care, following local protocols, maintaining confidentiality, documenting information and contributing to referrals and care planning.

Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services

In Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, workers contribute to culturally safe, community-led primary health care while working within local policies, protocols and community expectations.

The HLTAWOR002 RTO training materials help trainers contextualise learning around client engagement, culturally appropriate communication, health promotion, record keeping, team communication and referral processes used in these services.

Primary Health Care Clinics

Primary health care clinics that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients require workers to provide respectful, inclusive assistance across reception, clinical support, health education and care coordination activities.

Trainers can use the HLTAWOR002 training resources to connect assessment with realistic clinic scenarios, including responding to client needs, recognising cultural considerations, protecting privacy, using interpreters or support people appropriately and reporting information to health care teams.

Community Outreach and Mobile Health Programs

Outreach and mobile health programs deliver services in community settings, where workers may need to adapt communication, support access to care and work respectfully with families, Elders, local organisations and other service providers.

The HLTAWOR002 learning materials support contextualisation for field-based activities such as preparing for community visits, following safety and cultural protocols, engaging with local services, documenting outcomes and contributing to continuity of care.

Any Delivery Mode

The editable RTO resources support classroom delivery, workplace delivery, blended learning and online delivery. Trainers can contextualise learning activities, examples and assessments for their learner cohort, local community relationships, workplace policies and the environments in which primary health care services are delivered.

Just sharing my experience with these resources. The resources that we have purchased from RTO Learning Materials were expectional during audit and mainly when these were implemented with trainers and students. At start it was a bit hard for our trainer's to fully absorb these resources as they are very detailed as compared to the old ones that we have been using but once trainers were able to complete their learning it was a piece of cake to collect and collate evidence from students. Furthermore, during our pre-validation meetings we have also observed that the learning component is very well covered thereby providing enough information for our trainers to keep students engaged at all times. I would also like to highlight a staff member from sales team 'Mr. Amar Shah' who has been exceptional in his service and goes beyond his call of duty. Thank you Amar and RTO Learning Materials for all your support. Regards, Amit Thakur
